This is the comment fic post of the Women of Torchwood Fest that is running throughout May.

The rules are pretty simple.

One prompt per comment. (You can post as many of these as you like.)
A pre-S3 character female character needs to be in a main role in it.
No bashing fic. (Things like Suzie being an awesome evil genius is okay though.)
Put warnings in the comment subject line if needed.
Any rating, pairing or gen fic allowed. Crossovers are good too.


Prompts.
Can be as simple (Like Suzie, a umbrella) or complicated (Gwen and Tosh are having a picnic together on the beach and talking about Gwen's wedding when a giant sea monster alien arrives and they have to save Cardiff) you like.

This week I'm going to rec a fairly recent story, it was written in October last year.

Title: This is my letter to the World that never wrote to Me

This fic follows Suzie from being a young girl to when she joined Torchwood. Her interaction with her family is really well done, it's real and natural, and you can see the distance growing between her and her father, as well as her mother and adopted father, as she gets older and her expectations of life become at odds with theirs.


I will be reccing stories featuring one or more of the female Torchwood characters for the four Friday free for all rec that fall within the Women of Torchwood fest month.

As this is the Friday rec free for all please rec any fic you want as long as it falls within the scope of the comm. It would be nice to see some more recs for fics featuring one or more of the Torchwood ladies, but it’s not essential.
